Before and After

Before the tonsillectomy. His tonsils were touching all of the time.

After – Breckin was feeling extra kind this morning and was finally willing to show me the back of his throat. His uvula is really swollen right now, which is normal. But, you can actually see the back of his throat. Don’t mind the food particles in the picture, he was eating hot cereal at the time.

What I think is most impressive is listening to him sleep. Before, you could hear Breckin breathing at the bottom of the stairs. Now, I cannot hear him at all. I am so used to being able to hear him breathe/snore from a mile away that when I have walked into his room the last few nights, I have almost panicked because I thought he simply wasn’t breathing. Obviously he was breathing, just without the snoring. Awesome!
