Sweet Girlie

Being woken up at 2:30am really isn’t ideal. It feels really awful when I am sick from some type of laryngitis type illness. But, when it is a sweet little girl waking me, I don’t mind as much. Last night, Arwyn started crying at 2:30. As soon as I entered the room, I laid down in bed with her and she instantly fell back to sleep. Then, 10 minutes later, out of nowhere, she suddenly wakes up and starts telling me that “cookie monsa” is in the room. I asked her if she was afraid of cookie monsa, and she told me no, but then wouldn’t stop talking about where he might be. Something tells me she had a dream about cookie monsa. Then, she crawled up on my chest and insisted on sleeping on top of me, just like she did when she was a newborn. It was the sweetest thing and in that moment I thanked the Lord for giving me such a sweet cuddly moment with my normally too busy to cuddle baby girl. She then decided she wanted to go sleep in bed with Jere. So, I relocated her to our bed and slept in the guest room. This morning, I wake to see Daddy and sweet Arwyn snuggled up and sound asleep. Although I lost a good bit of sleep last night, I couldn’t help but feel like it just doesn’t get any better than this. Lord thank you for such a wonderful moment and for our sweet girlie. (that is what Breckin likes to call her)
