Broken

First, I must say that I don’t know this family. They are friends of a friend but months ago, that friend told me about them and asked me to start praying for them. In summary, their story is a very sad one. At 20 weeks gestation, their daughter Avery was diagnosed with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia and was given a small chance of survival. She was born in early May and has been fighting for her life ever since. There have been many hopeful moments and many heartbreaking moments. Today, this family had to make a decision no parent should ever have to make. They decided to remove her from life support. Please pray for them in the coming weeks. While I don’t personally know them, as a parent, I cannot even imagine their heartache right now. Here is their blog.
