Spidey Party
July 26, 2009
This weekend we celebrated Breckin’s 5th birthday with a water party in the backyard. We had 10 kids in our backyard running around with super soakers, water balloons, water guns and who knows what else. Breckin just decided to use the hose as his weapon of choice and since he was the birthday boy, we let him. Jeremiah was awesome and an amazingly good sport. He instantly got wet while filling up water balloons and just joined in on the fun. I love that he is an involved dad. He spent the entire week helping me clean up the yard (and doing all of the hard stuff!) and then just became another part of the party all to make Breckin’s day fun. Watching them both out there, taking on the entire party together…it made me love both of them that much more. Almost my entire family came to celebrate with us, which made the day even better. I was eventually able to convince everyone to come inside for some cake and ice cream and present opening. Then, we beat the heck out of a Spiderman pinata. A perfect end to a perfectly fun party. Here are a few pictures.
Spidey cake….not anywhere near my best work. But, Breckin loved it.
My boys, making me proud.

Breckin with his birthday present. He and Daddy went to the store the morning of his party and picked out his Nintendo DS. Silly boys.
